2010 Rondeau Bay Sundown Showdown

Date/Time: Saturday July 24th 12:30 PM - 9PM
Location: Rondeau Bay Brock St Dock in Shrewsbury
Entry: $ 100 / Team + $10 Big Fish Pot
100% Payback

Rules:

- 5 Bass Limit. Fish must be 12” in length or larger.
- All fish must be weighed in alive, and in a condition that they are likely to survive after release.
- 2 Person Teams (at least 1 must be 18 years of age)
- Boats must be no less than 12’ in length and equipped with a 9.9 HP engine or larger.
- Boats must have an operable live well. Portable cooler with re-circulating pump is acceptable.
- There are no boundaries for this event. Anywhere that is legally accessible by boat from the launch site will be acceptable fishing waters.
- Life Jackets must be worn while engine is running.
- All teams must fish no less than 50 feet from any other team’s boat at any time.
- No live or dead bait is permitted. Only artificial lures can be used.
- Only Largemouth & Smallmouth Bass may be kept for weigh-in.
- Penalties:
- Late for weigh-in: 1 LB penalty for each minute late up to 15 minutes in which you will be DQ’d.
- Dead fish will not count towards final weight or big fish, and an additional 1LB penalty will be applied.
- Fish under the 12” limit will not count towards final weight and an additional 1LB penalty will be applied.
- Any other violation to the rules that can be proven will result in DQ.

I edited this post to let everyone know that this event will run untill the original time of color=#FF0000]9:00 pm [/color] due to an increase in entries the last 2 days. I just want to make sure for safety reasons that everyone gets a chance to weigh their fish before its totally dark out.

Also the weather is calling for thundershowers on Saturday. If its nasty out at blastoff time, we will delay the launch for up to 1 hour. At which time if its still storming we will post pone the event untill Sunday the 25th instead.
